We are a small, friendly club who meet monthly in Pudsey House. We organise a range of activities including flower arranging demonstrations, practical workshops, talks by local organisations associated with flowers and gardening. Our activities are open to members and guests. This year, despite the restrictions, we had a brilliant visit to a local member of Flowers from the Farm, a Florist who grows her own British flowers. Beautiful garden full of amazing blooms, a workshop on making buttonholes and home-made cake. The perfect afternoon enjoyed by everyone.
We participate within the community by, for example, entering the flower arranging categories in the Pudsey Allotments and Cottage Gardeners’ Association Spring and Summer Shows; running free workshops for children at the Shows; arranging visits to local gardens; running coffee mornings 3 times a year in Pudsey House (with flowers on the tables of course!) and participating in NAFAS events. We have lots of enthusiasm and would like the Club to grow and develop. Flowers bring joy. Working with them is very therapeutic and something that everyone, young and old, can do. We will be 35 years old in 2021 and we are going to celebrate! PLEASE NOTE THAT THE TIME OF MEETINGS OF PUDSEY FLOWER CLUB IS NOW 7PM NOT 7:30PM.
