We are a small, friendly club which offers as much variation as possible to our members and guests.
Our programme consists of demonstrations, "in house" flower arranging workshops, challenge nights and an annual visit to a local garden. We keep in regular contact with all our members via email, text, messenger and Facebook. All members also receive a monthly newsletter prior to each club meeting. We also have our own Facebook page which has regular posts and features and is usually updated every 4 days. In addition the club organises separate flower arranging workshops and these are also open to members of the public. These are run every month at Sherburn in Elmet and are very well attended with no previous experience required. The fun with flowers workshop is now in its 10th year. It continues to flourish with three sessions a month and an average of thirty enthusiastic people attending each one. It has helped to boost our flower club membership and given it a new vibrancy.
Castleford's November Meeting was a Bonfire themed workshop entitled "Light Up the Sky". Below are some images taken on the occasion.
Jubilee CelebrationsHere are a few photos of the festival held in All Saints Parish Church, Castleford to celebrate the Jubilee.
Amongst our more experienced arrangers we did have 7 novices who bravely took on the challenge. |
