As a Club, we have been in North Ferriby for over fifty years. We have over 100 members and meet monthly in North Ferriby Village Hall. We enjoy floral arranging and artistry whilst we sit and watch! Many professional floral demonstrators include other skills such as textural weaving, paint techniques, sculpture and woodworking! It is a veritable artistic delight!
Join us? Our annual subscription is £45 to include floral demonstrations and the occasional garden visits, talks, workshops and social events. Wine can be purchased and soft refreshments are included. We meet every 2nd Thursday of the month at (7 for) 7.30 pm in the Village Hall, North Ferriby HU14 3AA New members and guests are always welcome. North Ferriby celebrated their 55th Anniversary with a Mediterranean supper. We had 80 members attend and we asked members to enter a competition creating a table arrangement with a 'celebratory' theme. We could not believe we had 20 members enter and the standard was brilliant. We had a Mediterranean quiz and lots of fun and laughter. Our guests were Sheila Drybrough, Area Chairwoman and Ann Simpson, Area Secretary.
Sheila and Ann had the difficult job of judging the arrangements and chose Louise Macfarlane's arrangement as the winner and Janet Marshall came second. All those who took part made beautiful arrangements and we now know we have some very talented members. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
On Thursday, 7th December, 2023 we held a Christmas Workshop. We had two sessions, one in the afternoon and one in the evening. In total we had 21 people take part including 5 young non members!!!! Pauline Willingham and Lilian Pooley demonstrated wreaths, door swags and table arrangements. There was lots of fun and laughter and some beautiful arrangements. Those taking part asked if we could do the same next year!! Hear are some of the arrangements:

On Thursday, 13th October Sue Guilliatt did an Autumn Workshop. Several of our members took part and I am sure everyone will agree they did a brilliant job. Click on each image below to expand it.

On Thursday, 14th July, 2022 Elaine Bedford held a Workshop which was a summer table arrangement for Alfresco Dining. We had 10 members take part and they did a very good job. Elaine also suggested adding candles or lights to the arrangement which would look really good in the evening. Elaine did a demonstration for our club in the evening which was called "Re-imagined". This was a lovely evening when everyone looked really summery and Elaine's arrangements added to that feeling. We had around 70 members attend the demonstration and afterwards we all looked at the arrangements with a cup of tea or coffee or even a glass of wine and a chat with friends.
