Ossett is a small, friendly club whose aim is to promote friendship through flowers. It was founded in 1971 and members have always played an active part in local community events, as well as enjoying monthly demonstrations and workshops, where we learn and share new ideas and techniques in floral art together with related crafts.
We welcome new members of any ability level; no experience needed, only a love of flowers!
For those who want to learn more we hold monthly flower arranging classes from March to October.
Our more experienced members successfully participate in competitive shows, such as the NAFAS National Competitions and the Harrogate spring and autumn shows, as well as designing exhibits for events like the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
There is a sales table at club meetings where members are able to purchase basic flower arranging items, as well as donated seasonal produce.
We also encourage the exchange of knowledge on allied topics such as gardening, art and craft work and cookery – which can be discussed over tea and cake at the end of the evening.
Visitors are always welcome – we look forward to seeing you.
