Area Annual General Meeting Saturday 21 November 2026

Following requests last year for a demonstration after the meeting, there will be a short Council Meeting followed by the AGM in the morning and a demonstration in the afternoon.
Members will have to provide their own lunch. Tickets costing £15 will be available at the Council meeting on 1 August or from Joan O'Brien. Members' Day 2026
We enjoyed a fabulous and joyful morning when Mary gave her talk, “When the Queen Came to Lunch.” She captivated us with her Yorkshire humour, her “can-do” approach to the task, and her skill in managing the expectations of the Royal Household.
Following on from Mary, we settled down to enjoy a wonderful demonstration from Dawn Weaver. She shared her expertise in willow weaving and produced a fabulous array of designs, following the theme “Nature into Art.” There are more images of Dawn's demonstration in the Gallery page.

Area Council Meeting 21 February 2026
The first Council Meeting of the year took place at the Folk Hall, New Earswick on 21 February.

Area Demonstrators' Test Saturday 26 July 2025 - UPDATED 27 July
An extremely successful Demonstrators' Test took place at Stockton on the Forest Village Hall on Saturday 26 July, the chief adjudicator being Margaret Rumens of South Midlands area.
