Bradford Flower Club was formed on the 16th April 1957 by Pam Banister (who went on to become an Area Demonstrator) and Peggy Greenough (who became 2nd National Vice Chair). The Demonstrator for the first meeting was a gentleman named George Smith.
Since then the club flourished, moved to many venues, had 32 Chairmen and held many workshops, festivals and club events. As the club enters its 65th year another venue becomes its home. From March 2022 its monthly meetings (third Monday of the month) will now be held at Allerton Congregational Church BD15 7HB due to the closure of Haworth Road Methodist Church. The new venue is well lit, can be easily accessed from a large car park and is on a main bus route. From being closed for most of 2021 due to Covid restrictions, BFC has a full programme of talks, demonstrations and garden visits planned for 2022. No experience is necessary, so everyone is welcome to enjoy our meetings. You will be met by a friendly committee and members as we enjoy a cuppa, watch and learn more about flowers, foliage and how to show them off to their best. Please feel free to contact Yvonne Coppin yvonnecoppin@outlook.com for further information.
