In August 2022 Rotherham Floral Arts Society will celebrate its Diamond Anniversary.“Friendships through Flowers” is the motto of the Rotherham Floral Arts Society which is keen to welcome new members and reassure any budding flower arranger that no experience is needed.
Visitors to the group can expect to find a varied programme of activities including demonstrations, workshops and special excursions while socialising with like-minded people is at the heart of every event. Founded in 1962, the Society perhaps owes its longevity to its welcoming ethos. Guests can attend without becoming full members and just pay for events or activities ad hoc depending on what time they have or wish to do.

Rotherham floral art held their first meeting since lockdown and Jean Ashton one of our members had made this delightful floral sign for us. It made everyone feel happy to be back.

The event was well attended by members. We also asked members to bring a friend along for free which members were happy to do and on which we obtained good feedback from the visitors themselves.
The demonstration was by Vanessa Wellock entitled "What did you do when". The Mayor Rotherham Councillor Tajamal Khan also attended and was very impressed. He said that he would be happy to attend another Demonstration.
